The popularity of Welsh artist Kerry Darlington has grown and grown over a number of years culminating in her nomination in the category of best selling published artist in the UK this year by the Fine Art Trade Guild.
In a recent interview, Kerry named the pre Raphaelites and Art Nouveau as well as Celtic mythology as major influences on here work. "I am a prolific artist, I have so many new ideas that I don't always have time to get things out". "If something doesn't work, I just leave it to one side and move onto the next idea. Cris insists on keeping them just in case, but I strive for perfection".
"Being a mum to three childeren is a job in itself so I have to be completely disciplined on how I approach my work.".
Although much of her work is inspired by nature, Kerry is also a hugely talented figurative artist, a subject matter that she has been developing over the last few years. With originals selling between £400 and £2500, she is sure to continue to be on of the UK's most popular artists.
