William Turner Original Paintings Wanted

Hepplestone Fine Art currently have a client currently looking to buy original paintings by North West artist William Turner. If you therefore wish to sell a William Turner original painting, please contact the gallery on 01257 451121 or by email at sales@hepplestonefineart.com

Extract from BBC Onlin - Born in Gorton in 1920, William Turner was one of the artists inspired and influenced by L S Lowry, though his style is very different from that of the Salford artist.

He spent the 50s and 60s taking in exhibitions by the German Expressionists and the French Fauves in Manchester, whose colours and techniques he adapted into his own paintings.

His early work met with some acclaim and was exhibited in high-profile shows in the North - but the London critics weren't as keen, which led to him having to paint part-time, whilst also working as a teacher in Cheadle Hulme.

Despite this, he remained a prolific artist and found much support from L S Lowry, who attended every one of William's shows until his death in 1976.

Such support was invaluable for William and the friendship between the pair led to him painting the only portrait of Lowry while he was alive.

Anyone wishing to sell William Turner painting should contact the gallery on 01257 451121 or sales@hepplestonefineart.com

Kerry Darlington Signs National Distribution Deal

Gallery favourite Kerry Darlington, has signed a national distribution deal with UK publisher Buckingham Fine Art.

The popularity of Welsh artist Kerry Darlington has grown and grown over a number of years culminating in her nomination in the category of best selling published artist in the UK this year by the Fine Art Trade Guild.

In a recent interview, Kerry named the pre Raphaelites and Art Nouveau as well as Celtic mythology as major influences on here work. "I am a prolific artist, I have so many new ideas that I don't always have time to get things out". "If something doesn't work, I just leave it to one side and move onto the next idea. Cris insists on keeping them just in case, but I strive for perfection".
"Being a mum to three childeren is a job in itself so I have to be completely disciplined on how I approach my work.".
Although much of her work is inspired by nature, Kerry is also a hugely talented figurative artist, a subject matter that she has been developing over the last few years. With originals selling between £400 and £2500, she is sure to continue to be on of the UK's most popular artists.

Perez Evening 18th May

Another fantastic evening was had with the fabulous Fabian Perez, again the old gallery was full to capacity with collectors driving from as far as London to see this great figurative artist. Everybody took the chance to get their favourite pieces personalised by Fabian and pick up some rare original Perez paintings and sought after limited edition prints. Some highlights of the the available editions were rare pieces such as Untitled II, Lori With a Black Hat and The Red Hat.

A collection of original paintings and limited edition prints took over every square inch of wall space and it looked amazing. Again Fabian was a true gent as he signed paintings and books & had his photo taken with our customers who formed an orderly queue.

Lets hope he comes next year to our stunning new gallery where we can pack in more paintings & people.

We Have Moved! at last.

Yes, we have finally arrived in our new home, it was a mad week with a flurry of joiners, electricians and poor Diane painting walls. We cleaned & hung paintings until late into the night and with invaluable help from new recruit Steve, we were ready for the doors to open and the arrival of the Mayor of Chorley and Radio Lancashire.

We opened our doors on Sat 29th May and hope you like the elegant new surroundings if you are able to come and take a look. What better surroundings can we ask for than beautiful artwork on the walls and a view of the English countryside and the Tudor Hall across the way.

You will be gratefully received when you come to visit us so please don't leave it too long.

Here's a taster for you.
